The Municipality of Central Elgin is seeking applications for consideration of appointment to the Port Stanley BIA Board of Management.
The Port Stanley BIA Board of Management leads the general membership of the Port Stanley BIA to strive to improve, beautify and maintain municipally owned lands, buildings and structures while promoting the BIA as a business and retail trade district.
The Port Stanley BIA Board of Management consists of five (5) public members appointed by Council, who are persons assessed with respect to rateable property in the Port Stanley BIA that is in a prescribed business property class and tenants of such property or nominees of corporations so assessed.
In the event that five (5) public members who are persons assessed with respect to ratable property in the Port Stanley BIA are not nominated, members of the public, who reside in Central Elgin, may be appointed to the BIA Board of Management.
Each member shall hold office from the time of their appointment until the expiration of the term of Council that appointed them provided they continue to be so qualified.
The Port Stanley BIA Board of Management generally meets once per month on a weekday at 6PM. Port Stanley BIA Board of Management meetings are typically held virtually, via Zoom. Qualified applicants interested in being considered for appointment to the Port Stanley BIA Board of Management are invited to complete the Municipality of Central Elgin Advisory Board & Committee Application Form.
Applications are due by February 3, 2023 at 4pm.
