The Municipality of Central Elgin is pleased to announce the appointment of David Jansseune as the Director of Finance/Treasurer effective November 12, 2024. David will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial affairs and strategic financial role of the municipality.
David is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with over 30 years of progressive business experience. Most recently he was the Chief Financial Officer of the Middlesex-London Health Unit. His diverse work experience includes not-for-profit, municipal government, corporate and manufacturing.
"We are pleased to welcome David to our team," said Mayor Sloan. "His extensive background and commitment to fiscal responsibility will be instrumental in navigating opportunities and challenges as Central Elgin plans for the future.”
In this role David will oversee the financial strategy and financial operations of Central Elgin by working closely with Council, senior leadership team and community members to foster fiscal responsibility and transparency.
“I am confident that David’s leadership will enhance our municipality’s financial management,” added Carey Herd, Chief Administrative Officer. “His expertise will be invaluable in maintaining our commitment to sound financial practices while meeting the needs of our growing community.”
