Please keep an eye out for turtles! It's that time of the year when you may start to notice more of our slow-moving friends crossing the roads to lay their eggs (especially near wet lands). Please keep in mind that many of Ontario's turtles are endangered. As a result, we must be extra careful in keeping an eye out for them and doing our best to protect our little buddies while driving safely. Please be advised that on May 30, 2022, we will be flushing sewer mains across the village of Port Stanley to remove grit, sand, gravel, and greases. This is a preventative maintenance procedure that aids in the prevention of sewage blockages, odour generation, and premature wear on mechanical components.

During this National Public Works Week, we'd like to thank our diligent Waste Management crew, for all they do throughout the year. This small team of 3 ensures that every resident in Central Elgin has their garbage and recycling collected every week, regardless of the weather.
