Boil Water Advisory Rescinded

UPDATE: the Boil Water Advisory affecting approximately 30 residences in Port Stanley has now been rescinded by Southwestern Public Health. Recent water samples have been taken with satisfactory results. Affected residents have been notified directly.

Further to the boil advisory water issued for the residents on George Street from Mackenzie Lane (formerly Edith Street) to the West end of George Street, the Municipality continues to work with Southwestern Public Health to resolve this issue.
When an adverse sample is received, the Municipality is required to notify Southwestern Public Health and resample the water. Test results take 24 hours to complete. Once two consecutive test results are received from the accredited drinking water...

CENTRAL ELGIN – The Municipality of Central Elgin has received an adverse water sample Mackenzie Lane (formerly Edith Street) to the west end of George Street in Port Stanley this afternoon. As a result, Southwestern Public Health has issued a boil water advisory for approximately 30 homes on the west end of George Street.
